See a Classic Play with a Modern Twist at the Audrey Memorial Auditorium
Relive the laughs and see the theatrical masterpiece of The Pirate of Penzance! This classic play that crowds of all ages know and love is coming to the Audrey Memorial Auditorium for a special production by Northern Arizona University.
Enjoy Gilbert & Sullivan’s most delightful romp, The Pirates of Penzance, a musical work that has been enjoyed by audiences for over 125 years and across the globe. Don’t miss your chance to hear the famous tunes performed live, including “I am the very model of a modern Major-General”, “Poor wand’ring one” and “With Cat-like Tread.”
Join Fredric, who believes his Pirates days are over on his 21st birthday, as he struggles with the ramifications of being born on leap year—making his 21st birthday really only a five-year anniversary and enslaving him to stay a pirate for decades to come. This production includes a special twist to the classic tale, and is set in the 1960’s on a seaside resort of Major General Stanley, adding to the already hilarious comedy of one of Gilbert & Sullivan’s best!
If you feel like escaping Village at Aspen Place Apartments in Flagstaff, Arizona for the day, this event is a perfect opportunity to do just that!
