Hear the Story of a Historic Flagstaff Family at the Pioneer Museum

Learn the fascinating history of Flagstaff at the Arizona Historical Society’s incredible special presentation coming to the Pioneer Museum! This unique holiday-themed exhibition invites guests to take a look at some of the more unique items in the Hochderffer family archives, one of the pivotal families in Arizona’s rich history.

The Hochderffer family was involved in many aspects of Flagstaff’s earliest development, and Arizona Historical Society archivists have recently processed the family’s extensive donated items, including a variety of diaries, letters, field notes, scrapbooks, ephemera, and rare photos illustrating territorial life in Flagstaff and around Arizona. To celebration this wealth of inciteful artifacts, the Pioneer Museum is hosting a free presentation showcasing some of the more unique items from the family and how these materials are being used by researchers. It’s a fun-filled way to learn the history behind your hometown, so be sure to attend this holiday event!
